About Sunyra

A calm place for astrology — exact in its maths, honest in its words.

Sunyra is a home for Vedic and Western astrology that respects both the tradition and the person reading. We built it because so much of astrology online is either careless with the maths or careless with people: tables of fixed predictions, pages crowded with offers, fear used to sell remedies.

How we calculate

Planetary positions come from a modern ephemeris that we test against NASA JPL Horizons across two centuries of dates. Ayanamsa, house systems, divisional charts, nakshatras, dashas and the panchang each have their own tests against published reference values. When you make a chart, the settings we used are shown with it. The full method, the error table and what we could not verify are on How we calculate.

How we write

Every article and reading is written fresh, and draws on the classical texts — Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Phaladeepika, Saravali, Jataka Parijata and others — which we cite by name. A reading weighs sign, house, lordship, dignity, nakshatra, aspects and the running dasha together, and says how they combine.

What we will never do

  • Predict disaster, or tell you that something terrible will happen unless you pay.
  • Present astrology as a certainty. The chart is a calculation; the reading is interpretation.
  • Treat one country's tradition as the default. Vedic and Western astrology sit side by side, and you choose the lens.

How Sunyra is funded

The site is free and carries advertising. Later we will offer detailed written reports for a fair, single global price. Advertising never decides what we write.
