Your kundli

Your chart will appear here: the wheel, every planet with its degree, nakshatra and dignity, the vargas, and your dasha timeline.

What a kundli shows

A kundli (janma kuṇḍalī) is a map of the sky at the moment and place you were born. It shows the rising sign (lagna), the twelve houses, and where each planet stood — in which sign, at which degree, in which nakshatra and pada, and in what dignity.

From that one moment a great deal follows: the divisional charts (vargas) such as the Navamsa (D9), the strength of each planet, and the Vimshottari dasha sequence that describes the periods of your life.

Why the birth time matters

The ascendant moves through a whole sign in about two hours, and a single degree in around four minutes. A birth time that is off by ten minutes can change the Navamsa and shift dasha dates by months. If you do not know your time, tick the box: we will show what does not depend on it, such as planetary signs and the Moon's nakshatra for the day.

Settings we use

By default we use the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa, whole-sign houses and the mean lunar node — the most common choices in Parashari practice. You can change any of them under Chart settings. For a Western chart, choose the tropical zodiac and Placidus houses.

One question, one answer

Looking for a single fact rather than the whole chart? Our free calculators answer one question each, from the same chart: your Atmakaraka, Darakaraka and Amatyakaraka, where any house lord sits, the sign and planets of each house, and the degree and nakshatra of any planet.
