Sign compatibility

Vedic Moon-sign and nakshatra matching (Bhakoot, Graha Maitri, Tara, Yoni, Gana, Nadi) and Western Sun-sign compatibility by aspect and element.

In Vedic matchmaking the Moon is the starting point: its sign and nakshatra feed all eight kootas of Ashtakoota. The Moon sign pages take one Moon sign at a time and set it beside all twelve — the sign relationship, the Bhakoot and Graha Maitri points the signs alone decide, and the Western view of the two Moons.

The nakshatra pages do the same for the 27 lunar mansions, which decide Tara, Yoni, Gana and Nadi — 21 of the 36 points — with every pair computed by the same engine as the tool.

Western astrology more often starts from the Sun sign, in the tropical zodiac. Those pages describe how each Sun sign tends to love and how it meets the others by aspect and element.

Both are maps of style, not verdicts. In Vedic matching the nakshatras decide more of the score than the signs do; in Western astrology the whole synastry matters more than the Sun. For the full eight kootas from birth details, use the Guna Milan tool, and see Guna Milan explained.
