How it works
- An account can have at most two profiles: yours and one family member’s, made with their knowledge and agreement.
- Each profile is made from a saved birth chart. Members see the Moon sign, nakshatra, Manglik status and the Guna Milan score with them; never the birth date, time or place.
- Browsing and expressing interest are free and unlimited. Swipe right (or press the heart) for interested, left to pass; a pass can be undone. When two people are both interested, they match.
- Every card shows your kundli match with that person: the Guna Milan score out of 36 with all eight kootas, Mangal dosha for both of you with any cancellations, and your two Moons. These are computed on our server from both charts; neither of you sees the other’s birth details.
- Member chat opens between matches with a member pass (US$5 for 30 days, a single payment that does not renew by itself). There are no message limits.
Matrimony terms
By making a profile you agree to these terms, in addition to the site terms of use:
- Purpose. Sunyra matchmaking is for adults looking for marriage or a committed relationship. It is an introduction service only: Sunyra does not arrange marriages, verify identities or check backgrounds, birth details, income, education or marital status, and makes no promise of a match or a marriage.
- True details. Everything in a profile must be true and current, including the date of birth in its chart and the marital status. One person, one profile; a family member may make a profile only with that person’s knowledge and agreement, and remains responsible for it.
- Your own judgement. You decide whom to contact and meet, and you are responsible for your own conduct and safety. Families and members should make their own enquiries before any commitment.
- Astrology is guidance. Guna Milan, Mangal dosha and the other factors are traditional tools, shown as tradition. They are not a prediction that a marriage will or will not work, and no decision should rest on a score alone.
- Paid features. Matching is free. Member chat needs a member pass (US$5 for 30 days), a single payment that does not renew by itself; the Marriage Report is a separate one-time purchase. Sales are final, as in the site terms.
- Moderation. We may refuse, hide, pause or remove any profile, photo or message, and close an account, to keep members safe or when these terms are broken. Reports are reviewed by a person.
- Leaving. You can pause or delete your profile at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Who may join
Adults only: everyone in a profile must be 18 or older, and the date of birth in the chart must be true. Profiles must describe a real person who is looking for marriage or a committed relationship. We never create profiles ourselves and never show invented people.
Safety
- No contact details in profiles: phone numbers, e-mails, social handles and links are refused. After a mutual match, sharing your number is your choice.
- Photos are resized and stripped of hidden data (such as the place a photo was taken), and a moderator approves each one. You can show your photo, blur it until you match (the default for women), or hide it until you match.
- You can block anyone: you both disappear from each other’s browse, interests and matches, and any chat closes. Report is on every card and every message. Profiles reported by several members, or reported as under 18, are hidden until a moderator decides.
- Never send money, gifts or documents to someone you met online, and meet first in a public place. Sunyra will never ask you for a password or an OTP.
- A “verified” badge means the account’s e-mail address (or Google sign-in) has been confirmed. It is not an identity check.
What is not allowed
Fake or impersonating profiles; anyone under 18; people already married presenting themselves as single; harassment, threats, hate or sexual content; asking for money; advertising of paid pujas, spells or “specialists”; and sharing someone else’s details or photos. We remove such content and may close the account.
Astrology
Guna Milan and Manglik are traditional tools. A score summarises the Moon signs and nakshatras only; the two people, and their whole charts, say far more. Read them as guidance, not certainty.

Photos
When you upload a photo we re-encode it, which removes hidden data such as GPS location and camera details, and make a separate, heavily blurred copy for the “blurred until we match” setting. The original file you sent is never stored. Photos are kept in private storage and shown only through links that expire after 30 minutes. A rejected or removed photo is deleted at once.
E-mails
We e-mail you about matchmaking only if you tick the box on your profile: when someone new who fits joins (at most once every three days, without naming them) and when you match. Every such e-mail has a one-click link to stop them.
Moderation records
When something is reported or held for review, a moderator sees the text or photo concerned, the reason, and an internal reference to the accounts involved. Decisions are kept so that repeated abuse can be recognised.
Your data
You can edit, pause or delete a profile at any time. On the profile page, Download my matchmaking data gives you everything matchmaking holds about your account as one file, and Delete all my matchmaking data removes both profiles, photos (and their blurred copies), interests, matches, messages and blocks at once. Download and deletion always work, even if matchmaking is paused for maintenance. Your saved birth charts and any reports you bought stay in your Sunyra account until you delete them there.
