What the Mercury period tends to bring
Mercury signifies intellect, speech, trade and skill. Its period commonly brings education, business, communication work, travel and many contacts, coloured strongly by Mercury's companions.
When Mercury is strong, and when it is strained
Mercury is strongest in Gemini or Virgo (own; exalted in Virgo), in the 1st (directional strength), with benefics. It is strained when debilitated in Pisces, deeply combust, or with malefics.
