Nadi dosha
Revati is in the Antya (Kapha) nadi. A partner whose Moon is in any of these nakshatras scores 0 of 8 for Nadi: Krittika, Rohini, Ashlesha, Magha, Swati, Vishakha, Uttara Ashadha, Shravana, Revati.
Matching manuals list exceptions — for example the same nakshatra in different padas or different signs, or the same Moon sign with different nakshatras — and authorities differ on them. Nadi is a traditional classification, not a medical test. See Guna Milan explained for the full discussion.
Yoni and Gana
Revati's yoni is the elephant. Its traditional enemy is the lion, which scores 0 for Yoni. As a Deva nakshatra, it scores 6 for Gana with another Deva star. Deva and Manushya mix well in most tables, while Rakshasa paired with either of the others scores lowest. 'Rakshasa' describes an independent, forceful temperament, not a moral failing.
What the nakshatras cannot tell you
The other 15 points of Ashtakoota — Varna (1), Vashya (2), Graha Maitri (5) and Bhakoot (7) — depend on the two Moon signs, and Revati lies within one sign, so its sign-based kootas are fixed for any given partner sign. FAQ
Which nakshatra is best for Revati? At the nakshatra level, Pushya and Ashwini score highest in our tables. The full match also depends on the Moon signs and the whole charts.
Can Revati marry Revati? Two Revati Moons share a nadi, so Nadi dosha applies (0 of 8), though several manuals relax it when the padas or signs differ. The other three kootas score 3, 4 and 6.
Why does my total differ from another website's? Gana, Vashya and some Yoni tables differ between almanacs, and sites differ on ayanamsa and on applying exceptions. We use the saravali.de tables and say so.
