The sky around it
The rest of the autumn sky colours how astrologers read this Saturn retrograde:
- Venus is retrograde (3 October – 14 November) and, in the Vedic zodiac, retreats into Virgo — directly opposite Pisces, where Saturn's 7th-house aspect falls on it from 5 to 22 November. Commitments in love and money are weighed seriously.
- Mercury is retrograde (24 October – 13 November): agreements and paperwork are reviewed alongside Saturn's long-term obligations.
- Neptune, in the Western reading, is also retrograde in early Aries and turns direct on 12 December, two days after Saturn.
- Jupiter enters sidereal Leo on 31 October and turns retrograde on 13 December, three days after Saturn turns direct.
The Vedic reading
Pisces is Jupiter's water sign — compassion, endings, retreat, faith and the dissolving of boundaries. Saturn is neutral to Jupiter in BPHS's natural friendships, and is neither exalted nor debilitated here. Moving back through Revati (ruled by Mercury: journeys, care, completion) into Uttara Bhadrapada (ruled by Saturn itself: depth, discipline, endurance), the retrograde is read as a return to unfinished work — the duties of care and completion.
A retrograde Saturn is strong in motion (BPHS ch. 27). Its results are commonly read as delayed or repeated rather than weakened: what Saturn began asking of you when it entered Pisces in March 2025 is asked again, more thoroughly.
