In short: Saturn entered sidereal Pisces (Meena) on 29 March 2025 and stays there until 3 June 2027, when it first enters Aries; it retrogrades back into Pisces from 20 October 2027 and leaves for good on 23 February 2028. In Vedic transit reading this period brings Sade Sati to Aquarius, Pisces and Aries Moon signs, dhaiya to Sagittarius and Leo Moons, and Saturn's traditionally favourable 3rd, 6th and 11th-house transits to Capricorn, Libra and Taurus Moons. In the tropical zodiac Saturn is already in Aries (from 14 February 2026).

What Saturn in Pisces is read for

Pisces is a water sign of Jupiter, the sign of compassion, endings, spiritual life and dissolution of boundaries. Saturn, the planet of time, structure and responsibility, is in a neutral sign here (Saturn and Jupiter are neutral to each other in BPHS's natural friendships). Collectively, astrologers read the period as one of giving form to ideals — institutions of care, spiritual or charitable work, water and the sea — and of facing what has been avoided. Individually, the effect depends on which house from your Moon (and ascendant) Saturn is crossing.

Sign by sign, from the Moon

Read your Moon sign (sidereal). Phaladeepika (ch. 26) counts Saturn favourable in the 3rd, 6th and 11th from the Moon. Every reading below is a tendency, softened or strengthened by your dasha, Saturn's role in your chart and the ashtakavarga points of Pisces.

Aries Moon — 12th house, first phase of Sade Sati. Expenses, rest and endings come into focus. A good period to clear old commitments, travel or retreat, and look after sleep and routine. Saturn moves onto your Moon sign from mid-2027.

Taurus Moon — 11th house, favourable. The classical "best" Saturn transit: steady gains from long effort, support from older or established people, goals that finally take shape. Sade Sati begins as Saturn enters Aries in 2027.

Gemini Moon — 10th house. Career responsibilities increase; work is demanding but builds standing. Saturn in the 10th from the Moon is not on the classical favourable list, but many astrologers read it as a time of serious professional consolidation.

Cancer Moon — 9th house. Questions of belief, teachers, father figures and long journeys take on weight. Faith is tested and matured; plans abroad may move slowly but steadily.

Leo Moon — 8th house (ashtama Shani, dhaiya). A period of change and introspection: shared finances, inheritance, research and deep personal transformation. Take care with commitments and look after wellbeing; it is a time for patience, not alarm.

Virgo Moon — 7th house. Partnerships, marriage and contracts become serious. Relationships may formalise, be tested, or ask for more responsibility. Clear agreements help.

Libra Moon — 6th house, favourable. Saturn in the 6th is read as overcoming rivals, debts and obstacles through discipline. Good for steady work, health routines and service.

Scorpio Moon — 5th house. Creativity, children, study and speculation come under Saturn's sober eye. Long-term projects and serious study suit this time; speculation does not.

Sagittarius Moon — 4th house (kantaka, dhaiya). Home, property, mother and inner peace ask for attention and responsibility. A move or renovation may be slow; emotional steadiness comes from routine.

Capricorn Moon — 3rd house, favourable. With your Sade Sati over (it ended in March 2025), Saturn in the 3rd is read as courage, effort and skill bearing fruit. A good time for steady initiative.

Aquarius Moon — 2nd house, third phase of Sade Sati. Finances, family and speech are the focus as Sade Sati winds down. Consolidate savings, choose words carefully, and notice what the past years have built.

Pisces Moon — 1st house, second phase of Sade Sati. Saturn sits on your Moon: a weighty, clarifying period of responsibility and self-examination. Rest, structure and honest priorities help most. See Sade Sati.

The retrograde loops

Saturn is retrograde for about four and a half months each year. Between 26 July and 10 December 2026 it moves back from 20.5° to 13.7° Pisces, recrossing the degrees it passed earlier in the year. Astrologers often read retrograde periods as times to review and finish rather than to start; if Saturn crosses a sensitive point in your chart (your Moon or ascendant degree, say), it may do so three times.

Saturn's aspects

Saturn aspects the 3rd, 7th and 10th signs from itself. From Pisces it aspects Taurus, Virgo and Sagittarius. Astrologers therefore add a Saturn "flavour" to the readings for those Moon signs — steadiness for Taurus, seriousness in partnership for Virgo, and responsibility at home for Sagittarius.
